Hello! My name is John Chapman and I live in Purley on Thames in Berkshire, just to the west of Reading
I am long retired but worked in IT for most of my career which took me all around the world and let me meet some very interesting people.
I am very much involved in community affairs and local societies and served for 37 years as Purley’s District Councillor, having the honour to be Chairman of Council for the year 2005-2006 and am now an Honorary Alderman. I have been a Parish Councillor since 1976 seeing my local community change from a self contained village to almost a suburb of Reading.
